Atkinson County Jail Roster Overview
The public roster path runs from the Atkinson County Sheriff's Office home page to the OffenderIndex roster. The sheriff site also has a password-protected current-inmates page, but the public inmate link opens the vendor roster. The vendor footer identifies Eagle Advantage Solutions, Inc., and the research captured version 19.12.4.1 in the page code. No login, subscription, payment, or captcha was visible for the public Atkinson roster.
The roster is most useful for current local custody, recent bookings, and booking-date searches. It is not the right system for a sentenced state prisoner, a sentenced federal inmate, or a civil immigration detainee after transfer. It also does not publish a refresh interval or a release-record retention period. Use it first, then call Atkinson County Jail at (912) 422-3291 for custody, housing, bond, and visitation confirmation before acting on the result.
Use the Atkinson County Inmate Roster
The roster has three distinct search tabs: current inmates, bookings over the last 24 hours, and inmates by booking date. That makes it stronger than a simple PDF list, but it also means the best search depends on timing. A same-day arrest may appear under recent bookings before a family member knows the exact charge or bond. A person arrested earlier in the month may be easier to find through the date tab.
- Open the sheriff-linked OffenderIndex roster and let the grid load. Search buttons may be disabled while the page initializes.
- Choose Current Inmates if the person is believed to be held now.
- Enter first name, last name, or both when the list is long. The visible fields are not marked as required.
- Choose Bookings Over Last 24 Hours for a new arrest, especially before bond or first appearance details are clear.
- Use the booking-date tab for a known arrest window. Leave both date boxes blank only if a broad search is needed.
- Call the jail if the person is female, may be in Coffee County, or cannot be found after a recent arrest.
Atkinson County Roster Search Fields
The search-field list below follows the public roster controls found in the research. The current and 24-hour tabs use name filters. The booking-date tab adds start and stop date pickers and repeats name fields. A previous-inmate checkbox label exists in the page source, but Atkinson's current configuration hides it, so it should not be treated as a guaranteed public archive feature.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Current Inmates tab | Tab | No | Shows the current inmate grid. |
| Bookings Over Last 24 Hours tab | Tab | No | Uses an automatic recent date window. |
| Inmates by Booking Date tab | Tab | No | Uses a date range and optional name filters. |
| First Name | Text | No | Filters by first-name letters on each visible roster search. |
| Last Name | Text | No | Filters by last-name letters on each visible roster search. |
| Start Date / Stop Date | Date picker | No | Used only on the booking-date search. |
| Include Previous Inmates | Checkbox | Hidden | Label exists in source, but Atkinson's current config hides it. |
Atkinson County Inmate Profile Fields
Atkinson's public profile fields were identified from the roster templates and JavaScript, not from a named inmate. The page can expand rows into detail tabs for charges, sentence, visitation, and other data. The charge tab is especially useful because it can show a warrant number, count, statute, description, offense type, and court. Those are booking or warrant details, not the final filed court case.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Name | First and last name from the roster row. |
| Status | Booked or custody status label. |
| Sex, height, weight, age | Basic identifying fields when populated. |
| Arrest date and time | The date and time tied to the booking event. |
| Days in jail | Custody duration returned by the roster, not a sentence term. |
| Arresting officer | Officer field connected to the arrest or booking. |
| Total bond | Bond total, subject to confirmation with jail staff. |
| Charges | Warrant number, counts, statute, description, offense type, and court. |
| Sentence / release date | Sentence text or release date if populated. |
| Visitation schedule | Inmate-specific visitation schedule if populated. |
| Photo | Template supports a photo field, but Atkinson's current grid config has photos off. |
Missing Atkinson County Inmate Search
A no-result search does not always mean no Atkinson County inmate record exists. The arrest may be too recent for the public grid, the spelling may differ, the person may be female or overflow-housed in Coffee County, or the person may already have moved to state custody after sentencing. If the arrest involved Willacoochee Police, the city may hold the incident report while the sheriff or jail handles booking custody.
Call before acting: Use the jail phone for real custody and housing confirmation before buying money orders, driving to visitation, or mailing funds.
A good fallback call gives the full name, date of birth if known, arrest date, arresting agency, and any charge or warrant number from paperwork. Ask whether the person is in Pearson, in Coffee County, released, transferred to GDC, or held for another agency.
Atkinson County, State, and Federal Inmates
The county roster, GDC, BOP, ICE, and VINELink all serve different jobs. Use the county roster and jail phone for pretrial custody and recent bookings. Use GDC for sentenced Georgia prisoners. Use BOP for sentenced federal prisoners. Use ICE ODLS for immigration detainees after a hold or transfer is confirmed. Use VINELink for custody notifications and victim alerts, not as the only source for record copies.
| Custody | Where to Look | Use It For |
|---|---|---|
| Local pretrial or short sentence | Atkinson roster and jail phone | Current custody, booking, bond, charges, and visitation block. |
| Female or overflow Atkinson inmate | Call Atkinson jail first | Confirm Coffee County housing and which agency handles the next step. |
| Sentenced Georgia prisoner | GDC Offender Query | State prison location, identifiers, sentence, and release data. |
| Federal prisoner | BOP Inmate Locator | Federal custody from 1982 to present. |
| Immigration detainee | ICE ODLS | Civil immigration custody after transfer or hold confirmation. |

Atkinson County Booking Records
After an arrest, the person is transported to jail or another appropriate holding facility, intake is completed, and a booking record may be published through the roster feed. Georgia law also has an identity-verification statute for people confined in jail or detention facilities. The local roster can show arrest date and time, status, arresting officer, sex, height, weight, age, inmate ID, charges, bond, court, and a visitation schedule if those fields are populated.
Booking charges are not always final court charges. The roster is useful for the first view of custody and charge labels, while formal court records are filed through the clerk and prosecution channels. For the post-arrest court path, use Atkinson County court records after a jail arrest with the clerk, magistrate, and District Attorney contacts.
Atkinson County Jail Visitation Rules
Atkinson visitation is not described as a standard indoor video or booth process. The official rules say visitation happens at the jail fence at the sidewalk, and a jailor directs visitors to the proper location. Visitors must stay three feet from the fence and communicate through the fence. The detailed visitation page lists Saturday blocks of 9:30-10:10 and 10:15-10:55, while the contact page has a different Saturday start-time statement, so call ahead for the current block.
| Rule | Atkinson Detail | Practical Step |
|---|---|---|
| Day and time | Saturday blocks based on cell location | Call or ask the inmate for the assigned block. |
| Visitors | Maximum of two visitors during each visitation period | Do not bring extra visitors without approval. |
| ID | Positive photo identification required | Register at the front counter with the visitation officer. |
| Children | Under 17 must meet approval and adult-accompaniment rules | Call before bringing a child. |
| Search and conduct | Visitors may be searched and barred for cause | Use sidewalks and follow jailor directions. |
Mail Atkinson County Inmates
Use the sheriff's P.O. Box for jail mail, not the courthouse P.O. boxes. The official format is inmate name, c/o Atkinson County Sheriff's Office, P.O. Box 157, Pearson, GA 31642. The mail rules are strict: no items are to be included in letters or cards, and the prohibited list includes stamps, stationery, writing instruments, jewelry, glue-backed items, business materials, oversized cards, candy, food, credit cards, Polaroid pictures, and sexually explicit material.

Atkinson County Inmate Money
The official pages do not name an online deposit vendor, kiosk, phone vendor, tablet provider, commissary schedule, or fee table. The published local rule is that funds may be deposited on an inmate account by giving money to the jailor and receiving a receipt. Mailed funds must be U.S. Postal Money Orders. Other money orders, checks, and cash by mail are not accepted, and the sheriff's office says it will not assume responsibility for lost or stolen cash.
| Channel | Published Atkinson Rule |
|---|---|
| In-person funds | Give funds to the jailor and get a receipt. |
| Mail funds | Use U.S. Postal Money Orders only. |
| Online deposit | No official Atkinson vendor located. |
| Phone or video provider | No official provider or rate page located. |
Bond is separate from commissary money. Atkinson's bond page says cash bonds must be paid by money order, property bonds require valid photo ID and a $20 money order per bond, and property land value must be double the bond amount. Always call the jail before buying a money order because another hold can prevent release.
